Fundraiser for Ellen O'Herlihy

My name is Camila Casey Gordon. I'm a lifelong friend of Ellen O'Herlihy of Old Saybrook CT. I'm posting this in hopes you will contribute just a little to help our friend Ellen through a very difficult time.

In May, Ellen's husband Michael passed away. Michael had been suffering from dementia and Parkinson's disease for several years. During that time, Ellen and her daughter Kiernan were Michael's full time caregivers. With the onset of dementia came some serious financial challenges. First, Michael could not work and ended up on disability. Then, Ellen lost her job because of the time needed to take care of Mike. They managed to hold it together for a long while, but Mike's death changed that and things are looking rough for Kiernan and Ellen right now. My husband and I are trying to raise $10,800 for them which amounts to 6 mortgage payments. If we can buy Ellen and Kiernan that much time to sort through leftover medical bills, and changes to Social Security, they should be ok.
