Fundraiser for Ebensburg Skatepark
Tax deductible
Want to join us in making a difference?
We are raising money to benefit individuals in our town of Ebensburg who are passionate about their sport (riding, skateboards, trick bikes, and trick scooters) yet have nowhere to do it safely. The skating community has been underserved in our community for many years, as they've not had a space to practice. These athletes need a safe, sectioned place to practice and develop their skills, just as those who play baseball, football, soccer, basketball, etc. Without a safe environment to practice, these athletes often have to use streets and sidewalks. According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, irregular surfaces and vehicular traffic are the two most common reasons for injuries related to skateboards, scooters, and trick bikes. Skateparks draw skateboarders away from traffic and can be considered a valuable component of public safety.
With the support of the Ebensburg Borough and Recreation Committee, a site has been identified, by the Ebensburg Borough Pool, for the proposed 5,000 sq. foot skate park. The cost to build a safe, concrete park this size is approximately $225,000. For obvious safety reasons, we are excited and eager to see this project succeed. While the financial goal is high, we feel the safety of our citizens is high. We need your help!
Please consider donating toward our project to help fulfill the needs of all our wonderful citizens in Ebensburg, as well a, surrounding areas.
Thank you very much for considering this opportunity to help us reach our goal. If you have any questions regarding the project or fund management, please feel free to contact the committee at our email address!
