Hi, my name is Miah, and I am fundraising for the safety and protection of my son and me. (Read my story below) By donating to this fund, below you will find a list of what you will be donating to. A short summary of my story: I am a survivor who advocates for victims/survivors of domestic abuse I was in an abusive realtionship for 4 years that I fled from nearly 2 years ago. The process in rebuilding my life has at times felt insufferable. I am fighting in court for the last year to gain permanent protection for us, only to owe tens of thousands of dollars to an attorney and system that has failed not only me but my son. I cannot do this on my own anymore, this has become much bigger than me. And am now opening up this space for any who feel led to donate. All proceed will go to the list below. This is the very real, very true cost to safety. It is made nearly imposible to build life after abuse, and the reason many stay. Until either they break or are killed by the abuse. I have decided to leave, and create a better life for my son. A safe and stable future for him to grow and thrive in. Because that is what we deserve. And in order to do that, we need help. Retainer Fee to have a lawyer ($2,000-5,000)

Cost for emails, court hearings, phone calls with lawyers ($5,000 +)

Security system to set ($200.00)

Translating the Restraining order into German ($400)

Mailing Restraining order to the German court ($50-$100)

To help me pay for current lawyer bills that I am in debt to the lawyer who has failed my son and I and decided to deny aid in the domestic violence restraining order process- ($10,000) is the remainder totaling in nearly $20,000 invested in a lawyer who failed us.
