Funding for NJ families in need - Christmas 2023

What We've Done

For eight years, Project Christmas NJ has provided help at the holidays for more than 1200 people in need...

Giving local NJ residents & thier family and household members everything from Clothing & Coats, Holiday Decor and Christmas trees to household items & food - to fulfilling wish lists for nearly 1,000 kids - we've been serving South Jersey families who need us every year- by collecting gently used and new items from families who have them; and matching those items to the families in need across our area each year since 2015 - even during Covid - we never stopped making sure that families had wonderful holidays.

Our 2023 Holiday Plans

This year - our goal is the same- but we're doing something a little different. We need to rent a space (either a commercial space or a large storage unit or units)- and we will be clearing out our two storage units and our two warehouse spaces.

Over the years- especially during Covid - our lack of volunteer help meant that we were often unable to fully clear out our storage, and most of what was given to baby's were the newest donations we recieved. But we have YEARS worth of back log - that all could be going to famous who need it.

So this year- we intend to rent a space (or spaces)- and to load up trucks, to move everyone we have (and everything that's newly donated) to the new space - so that we can invite families to come "shop" (entirely for free - the amount being based on each family's needs) - so that we can help as MANY families as necessary- while clearing out our overly full storage spaces so that we can be more efficient and organized going into 2024.

What We'll Be Using Your Donations For

We have ZERO paid staff, and 100% of all funds go DIRECTLY to helping us help families across our area.

This year - we need to raise about $1500 to cover the rental space(s) where we will operate Project Christmas's collection & distribution ...

A financial donation is the MOST important contribution you could make this year, specifically.

We are hoping to be able to help as many families as possible - as always;

The sooner we meet our donation goals - the MORE families can breathe a sigh of relief.

$1200-$1500 is needed RIGHT NOW for us meet the space needs we have to meet. To run this year's project.

If we are able to meet that donation goal before the end of November- all remaining funds will go towards helping us to purchase and provide NEW wish list items for families who need them. From coats, to electronics - to furniture and household items, as well as the newest Toys & Games - each year we aim to add to the items which are physically donated to us, by purchasing BRAND NEW items that help us fulfill wish lists for the children (18 & under, as well as those with significant / intellectual disabilities under age 25).

Our ULTIMATE goal would be to raise $3500 - $3800 to fulfill the wish lists of all the children who's families we are able to help this year; the more we raise, the more families who will have a wonderful Christmas.

Remember; not ONE person receives a single penny or ANY benefits working for Project Christmas. We have ZERO PAID STAFF - We fund all of our collection & operational costs via our family and we volunteer because we WANT TO HELP.
