Assalamualaikum,
My name is Mustafa Farooq and I am a Life Scout in ADAMS Center's Troop 786. For my Eagle Scout project, I am installing a bike repair station at ADAMS Center. A bike repair station includes basic bicycle repair tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and a multi tool which can help repair/tune basic bike features. Also included is a bike pump which can fill bike tires with air. This station will provide different services for both the experienced biker and the casual one. It would be greatly appreciated if you could donate any amount of money towards this cause so that it can benefit the community.
Especially after COVID-19, biking and other outdoor socially distanced activities have seen a rise in popularity. Even within my own community and the ADAMS Center community, I have seen an increase in biking. Thus, installing a bike repair station will encourage and sustain many more bikers in the community for decades to come. People will be able to use this station free of charge, thus helping people bike and travel around regardless of their financial state. Furthermore, biking is a great cardio workout that is very beneficial for the body. It can lower the risk of diabetes and heart attacks among other illnesses. Installing a bike repair station in the community would encourage even more people to ride their bikes thus improving the health for many in the community.
Some benefits of a bike repair station at ADAMS Center include:
- Promotes an environmentally friendly form of transportation (biking)
- Engages the youth and biking/fitness enthusiasts to come to ADAMS Center
- Promotes a fun physical activity and healthy exercise for all ages
- Bike Repair Stations offer a variety of services and ways to repair/tune bikes free of cost which will prove to be beneficial for the community at large as it can assist people of all socioeconomic statuses
Thank you for any donations!
