Help Xepher Arcade Move To A New Home
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Robert Hoang. For the past few years, I've been trying to grow a community of rhythm gamers in North Carolina. Specifically the Triangle area. We started out of my house and grew to a point where things started to get too crowded. I made the decision to move into a workshop storage, to house all my arcade machines and have a convenient place for people to come by whenever they want. With this came many difficulties such as humidity, heat, power issues to name a few. I was hoping we would be able to stay at the workshop for a few more months but with summer coming up, things are only going to get more difficult.
I reserved some money just for the arcade and was planning on moving to a new location that we found would be ideal. Unfortunately a few things came up that I did not predict that would happen. My water heater broke and caused leak damage from the second floor and both my car and my wife's car started to have issues. Haven't been able to have a warm shower for a few days now. The siding of my house came off during a storm and required repairs as well. All these things have been happening within the span of a few weeks, draining the funds I had set aside to start this up.
I'm making this gofundme to ask for some help. It's been very hard to make something like this, asking for help, or letting other people know I'm struggling. But I'm hoping that with your help, I can really build this community up, and make this dream come to life. I wanted to create a special environment for people with this passion for gaming, to have a place where anyone is welcome to come and begin their own journey. I know that rhythm gaming truly helped me when I was in a dark place and so I want to have this as , not only for people just passionate for gaming, but also as an option for people that may be struggling as well. A place to challenge yourself to be better, whether small goals or larger ones.
So far we do have people in the community who have shown care for others, not just for their gaming skills, but about them in their real lives as well.
With this new location, we intend to move all the arcade machines from the workshop, have a console side for casual play and fighting games, give the NC Fighting Game Community a home and a central hub to host their tournaments and events, buy/sell video games and so much more.
So , again, I ask for whatever you can donate towards this. Whether it's $5 dollars, or so. Any bit helps right now.
Should this reach goals and we are able to open, I hope that those who have helped are able to come in, and drop by. It wouldn't be much right now, but free passes or something as a huge thank you. If we can find any other means to show our appreciation, we'd love to know.
Thank you,
Sincerely
Robert Hoang
