Since late September, I’ve been organizing whistle kit assembly parties in Chicago, putting over 50,000 whistles onto the streets. As demand is slowing on the North Side, I’ve teamed up with a group of 3D printers to ship whistles to other communities across the US. If you’d like us to ship you some free whistles for community defense, please reach out!

Background: I ran a weekly Friday night event at Nighthawk in Albany Park, and several one-offs, including two large events at Beermiscuous in Lakeview. We assembled and distributed thousands of whistle kits per week from the start of October to end of November. I still need to do the math, but my out-of-pocket costs have been well over $5,000 and continue to climb as I help with shipping and supplies.

Demand has quieted down here on the North Side, but we are helping other communities now and staying prepared in case the Feds ramp up operations in our neighborhoods again.

Your donation will:

1) Help offset the ongoing cost of supplies.

2) Subsidize printing and shipping costs for folks supplying whistles and related supplies. We currently ship a minimum of 2-3,000 whistles per week and can easily scale with your financial support.

3) Any money not spent on whistles will go toward community support. I’ve made donations to Pilsen Arts and Community House (the zine designers fueling whistlemania) and Co-Prosperity (our printing partner), and contributed funds toward for other individuals and orgs helping facilitate whistle distributions, or groups engaging in direct support within our communities.

I will never ever pocket more than I spend on whistles/zine materials, and will continue finding places to spend your money on fighting this particular flavor of fascism as long as you keep contributing.
