The Story of Vitality Village: A Founder's Journey to Regenerative Community

My name is Avíel Carlos Neo Andromeda, and like many of you, I've spent years navigating the high-pressure world of startups and digital work. While success brought opportunity, it also brought burnout and a deep sense of disconnect. I realized that true vitality wasn't about achievement; it was about the ecosystem you live in—body, mind, and community. That realization sparked a mission: to create a place where people could heal, train, and live regeneratively, together.

The vision is Vitality Village Chiang Mai, a pioneering regenerative living ecosystem designed to address the loneliness of the digital nomad life and the global hunger for holistic wellness. Positioned just outside Chiang Mai, the world's leading digital nomad hub, this village will be a sustainable micro-community combining eco-architecture (geodesic domes and bamboo structures), martial arts training, deep yoga and meditation, and permaculture—all integrated into a single, affordable, mid-range experience.

This isn't just another luxury retreat. It’s a mission-driven project focused on creating permanent regenerative impact. The village is structured to be a healing-centred space for long-term residents and retreat guests, offering programs priced affordably at $120-$180 per day, significantly below the $250-$375 luxury retreats in the region. Every dollar is foundational to a mission that aims to:

Demonstrate Sustainable Living: Create permanent regenerative agriculture systems and utilize solar power and greywater systems, setting a model for ecological building in Southeast Asia.

Empower Local Community: Provide meaningful, stable employment for Thai staff, including operations managers, chefs, and instructors.

Forge Deep Connection: Offer a community track membership ($800–$1,200/month) to build long-term connections beyond surface-level tourism, focusing on skill-shares and community governance.

The Call for Foundation Funding

To make this ecosystem a reality and secure its long-term impact, we must first build the foundation. We have meticulously planned the project, but we need seed capital to complete Phase 1 development—the essential infrastructure that will allow us to launch and become self-sustaining by Year 2.

The total required capital for Phase 1 construction, securing the long-term land lease, licensing, and initial operating reserves is $1,500,000 USD.

Securing the Land: Covering the upfront cost for a 30-year land lease on 10-20 rai (4-8 acres) of rural land, protecting the site for decades of regenerative development ($250,000-$450,000).

Building the Sanctuary: Constructing the open-air yoga shala, the martial arts training area, the community kitchen and dining pavilion, and the first 15 eco-accommodations (geodesic domes and bamboo bungalows).

Implementing Sustainability: Installing the solar power system, water well/filtration, and composting toilet/greywater systems to ensure we operate off-grid as much as possible.
