Why We’re Raising Funds

Our community is standing up to protect land in Taylor, Texas that was legally deeded for parkland use. Despite this restriction, BPP Blueprint, a data center developer, purchased the property and attempted to move forward with industrial construction.

In response, five Taylor residents filed a lawsuit to enforce the deed restrictions and stop this development. They’ve already covered legal fees and court costs out of their own pockets. Now, as the fight moves to a higher court, they need our help. This isn’t just about one neighborhood. It’s about holding corporations accountable, honoring legal deeds, and protecting Taylor’s future.

Where the Case Stands

To enforce the deed and stop industrial development, five Taylor residents filed suit against BPP. The case was heard in Williamson County District Court in September 2025.

The judge dismissed the case — but did not rule on the deed itself. The restrictive covenant — the central legal issue — was never decided.

The plaintiffs filed an appeal, and the case has now been transferred to the Texas Fifteenth Court of Appeals. That appeal allows for a full review of whether the land can legally be used for anything other than parkland.

Right now, the community is waiting for the court’s next steps. This lawsuit remains focused on one simple goal: Honor the deed. Protect the neighborhood. Keep this land a park for generations to come.

This case is not against the City Council. It is about enforcing the law and honoring the deed.
