Selam. We at TDR are so grateful that this fundraiser is organized by our supporter and compassionate Tigrayan's advocate Daniel Atsbaha [ድጅታል].
We are seeking public support to help fund the second phase of the Tigray Data Repository (TDR) - an online, open-source platform dedicated to preserving Tigray’s history and documenting the lived experiences of Tigrayan communities both at home and in the Diaspora. The repository hosts diverse datasets that capture a broad picture of the Tigrayan community, spanning digital, humanitarian, socio-economic, cultural, political, and educational dimensions. Through this effort, the TDR aspires to become the most comprehensive database on Tigray, advancing the long-term vision of ushering Tigray into the 21st century.
Our financial support goals for the next phase of the project include:
1. Platform Expansion & Technical Development – hiring a professional to strengthen backend development and integrate datasets.
2. TDR Journal Launch & Publications – releasing the next two articles as part of our second-phase research outputs.
3. Expanded Data Collection – building on Phase I to broaden and enrich our datasets.
4. Preparatory Study on the Aksum Massacre Victims – conducting a pre-data collection study to lay the foundation for a comprehensive victim profile development.
We warmly welcome your support for our upcoming data-driven projects and publications. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to preserving Tigrayan stories from around the world for future generations, fulfilling our motto: “Data for Tigray, Knowledge for Generations”.
