Hi, My name is Paul, I am raising funds to cover the cost of my son Sylis's International Rugby opportunity.

San Diego Legion Academy is in the business of training next level Rugby players and the 2035 World Cup team for the United States of America. That being said we would love to invite Sylis Dassonville to join the team.

The San DIego Legion Academy U-14 team has been invited to the New South Wales Waratahs Regional Tournament July 6th and 7th. Waratahs is a professional rugby team based in Sydney. What that invitation means is the State of New South Wales which is twice the size of California gets split up into 4 regional all-star teams. Those (4) U14 teams play each other over the weekend of the 6th and 7th of July. From that tournament, my counterpart at Waratahs, Coach Andrew Cleverly, will select the Waratahs U-14 team who will play against the Queensland Reds U-14 team in September/October. That last part is not important. What is important is that we are going to go up against some very stiff competition and we want to put the best 15 players from the state of California on the field. We are looking to do some fundraising and sponsorship to help defray the cost for travel.

San Diego Legion Academy Background:

We are not a pay to play team. We are not in the profit business. We do not cover travel costs so the parents are paying for plane tickets and ground packages put together by professional tour companies that are paid to get the best pricing.

Sylis and myself will be flying from northern California to Australia in July for the Rugby tournament.

I am raising funds to help cover the cost of the air fair, passports, visas, tour package for the team, equipment package for Sylis and incidentals. The estimated cost of this trip is $7500.00 USD for Sylis and myself.
