Fund somewhere to stay for a trial

Hi, my name is Jess.

Last year my incredible Mum was murdered. I need some help to enable me to find suitable accommodation for the duration of the trial. Unfortunately I was on maternity leave when this happened and money I had saved to cover my maternity leave went on things like the funeral, legal fees and admin fees. In full transparency the government did provide a one off payment to help given the circumstances but this went on the funeral. Sadly it means I have limited finances to be able to afford somewhere to stay for the trial which is 4 hours from where I live, not just for me but also my partner and our 1 year old daughter for 4 weeks. With it being held in Guildford and during summer time (I won’t say exactly when for anonymity with the media) the cost of somewhere is beyond our means at this time.

I hope no one minds me not giving too many details at this time, I don’t want to create bias views that could effect the trial and I also don’t want to be connected with all of the press surrounding the murder as my mum was an incredibly private person and I also have to think about protecting my little one from any media attention.

please only give if you have the means, the kind people on tiktok have urged me to create this and I’m truly taken aback by the kindness of strangers but I know right now just paying the bills is hard, please don’t endanger your own families finances to support us
