This coming July, I am volunteering at Bethlehem Farm , a farm committed to serving neighbors in need in Appalachia while living sustainably on the land. I'll be a "summer servant" helping things run at the farm with garden and house chores while retreatants do home repairs for neighbors. (It is my plan to bring back a similar establishment to the Diocese of Raleigh, where we are working on a 'Laudato Si' Action Plan,' to exemplify and invite others into a consistent ethic of life on the land.)

To fundraise the amount they ask of visiting servants, I thought I might put together two house recitals and serve a farm-fresh dinner for friends and family this coming month (see the email if you're local and RSVP)!
