Fund Raising for HomeOwners of Shakerag Farms

This is regarding Shakerag Farms community located in Forsyth County, it’s a community of 235 homes.

Community has lot of Self-Helps going on. Community had no annual meeting nor annual election (last meeting with board was Jan 2022) and even the request for special meeting signed by ~50% homeowners rejected.

On top of that, Homeowners are now imposed with special assessment equivalent to 45% of annual assessment fees (in addition to ~14% increase that happened in annual assessment. Additionally, there are threats of more such special assessments coming on. Many homeowners feel their voices are not heard nor their questions are answered satisfactorily.

So a group of homeowners from this community have come forward and filed a case in Forsyth Superior Court against the HOA board.

The pleading to court is to conduct court supervised election and stop the current HOA board to impose / collect any special assessment until the new board is elected via court supervised elections.

Pls note that this civil case is not about any individual homeowner’s enforcement related issues, this is with the only objective towards getting a court supervised fair election and the right of homeowners to elect their board.

This fund raising campaign is started to support on the legal costs.

It's fight for justice / fundamental rights and for the future of the community.
