Hi, I'm Wade. I live in Miami, Oklahoma. I run the Move Weight Foundation, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit. And I'm raising money to pay the public records fees that our city charges its own citizens.

In July 2025, my daughter was attacked by pit bulls. When I complained to the city, the City Attorney threatened me with prosecution. Not a warning. Prosecution. For complaining about a dog attack.

That's when I learned how this city really works. They don't want you asking questions. They don't want you seeing records. And they definitely don't want you telling anyone else what you find.

So I built ExposeMiamiOK.com and set up a FOIA proxy system that lets citizens request public records anonymously — because nobody should fear retaliation just for asking to see what their government is doing.

Here's the problem: the city charges for public records. And we don't get to know the price until after we ask. They bill per page, per hour of staff time, per certified mail stamp — whatever they decide the "effort" costs. One request might come back at $12. Another at $200. There's no menu. No upfront pricing. You submit the request, and weeks later, an invoice arrives.

This fund exists to pay those invoices — whatever they turn out to be — so citizens never have to.

Every dollar donated goes directly to FOIA request fees. Nothing else. The city sends the bill. We pay it. The records get published at exposemiamiok.com/foia/ for everyone to see.
