Hello! We are Project Grow CIC is a community-led urban agroecology initiative based in Gloucester. We design, build and run urban food-based spaces as Social and Therapeutic Horticulture Practitioners that support and educate on health, wellbeing, and community life.

As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) we also grow community food and have founded Social Source and Gloucester Soup as connected projects that bring this work to life through growing, food, placemaking, and community-led events.

Meet Hannah, our community urban farmer, who has been an essential part of Project Grow for the past two years. Hannah's role was previously funded by the local authority and Gloucestershire NHS, but that support has now ended. Despite our best efforts, we have not yet been able to secure new funding for the incredible work Hannah delivers.

Hannah grows produce for our FREE community veg box scheme, supplying charity partners such as Wiggly Charity, Social Source, and Gloucester Soup. She also leads our twice-weekly outdoor classroom sessions at Kingsholm Primary School, bringing hands-on food education to young learners.

Beyond this, Hannah works closely with vulnerable, marginalised, and disabled people of all ages and abilities, helping them access fresh food and learn to grow and cook it. Our growing sites also provide social and therapeutic horticulture sessions, giving people a chance to connect with nature and receive support in a friendly, inclusive environment.
