On 29th October 2025, I will be hosting a special fundraising evening at 46 Bar & Restaurant in Malton (www.fortysixmalton.co.uk (http://www.fortysixmalton.co.uk/)). This event is to help me raise funds to cover my expenses as a volunteer with HCPT Group 122, a York-based charity (www.hcpt.org.uk (http://www.hcpt.org.uk/)), during their trip to Lourdes, France, next Easter.

HCPT is a wonderful organisation that takes disabled children and those from disadvantaged backgrounds on life-changing pilgrimages, providing them with encouragement, friendship, and the opportunity to develop independence. We first became involved with HCPT when my brother , who has ADHD and Asperger’s syndrome, was supported by them. The kindness and dedication they show to every child is truly remarkable.

I myself has previously attended with HCPT as a child living with a disabled sibling, and next year i am excited to give back by volunteering. For the fundraising evening, I will be collaborating with the restaurant owners to create and prepare my own menu, as well as organising some fantastic local entertainment.
