Hi! In July 2026 I am hoping, alongside other volunteers, to launch a Medical Brigade to Panama with Global Brigades:

Global Medical Brigades is an international movement of students and medical professionals working alongside local communities and staff to implement sustainable health systems.

The aim is to set up a temporary clinic for a week in a rural area of Panama that would otherwise lack affordable/nearby medical aid. We will stay for a week and give routine check-ups, help with diagnoses and dispensing of medications, and provide dental care to the local residents.

I am aiming to raise around £1,500 to cover the cost needed for my accommodation, plus the money required to fund our clinic; the supplies needed such as medication and equipment, and pay local healthcare professionals who we are assisting. £1,110 is required to secure my place on the brigade, and anything else raised will go towards the cost of my plane tickets which are not included in the base donation.

Our team at Edinburgh University will be running several fundraising events over the next few months, and I am also aiming to do my own fundraising challenges to reach this goal.
