In 2023, Maddison was born at 29 weeks she spent 3 months in nicu fighting two rounds of sepsis, a brain bleed and working hard to come off of oxygen support. As Maddison grew we noticed she wasn’t hitting milestones like she should be, after lots of tests and MRI’s she was diagnosed January 2025 with periventricular leukomalacia and cerebral palsy causing her to have a lot of weakness in her left side of her body. Maddison still requires a PEG feeding tube to get full nutrition and struggles daily with exhaustion due to her muscles becoming tired very quickly.

since January maddison has been supported by having a specialist pushchair/ wheelchair, however due to cuts in the NHS, the funding for her wheelchair has now been withdrawn leaving us needing to find a replacement.
