Hi, I’m Sonya, Lynnette’s younger sister.
Lynnette is in the ICU at Saint Joe’s with seven fractured ribs and even more fractured vertebrae.
Now I’ll explain what happened. We were riding our motorcycles in Bremerton when taking a left around the corner. I don’t know exactly what caused it, but Lynnette ran into the curb as we were turning. Her bike jumped the sidewalk and went straight forward. I witnessed her body turn completely around towards me, go over the sidewalk. Her head slammed into a stonewall. Her helmet protected her upon impact. She landed on her back. Lynnette was in serious pain. Debi Hayes, Panita Baumheckle, and our cousin Amy Bacon Pond jumped out of the car that was following us. They forced Lynnette not to move until the ambulance got there. She was transported to Saint Joe’s to the emergency room for evaluation.
This is going to be a long haul towards her recovery. Several people have already asked what they can do to help.
Let me be blunt.
Since she’s going to be out of commission for several weeks and possibly months, she’s going to need help financially. I will start a GoFundMe. And I’m going to be shouting from the top of my lungs for financial help to take care of her during her recovery. She will need help to pay hospital bills, rent, her car payment, etc. I know this is unusual for me to even go there, but at this point, I ain’t too proud to beg. This ain’t no joke. My sister means everything to me as you all know. And I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure she has as smooth a time healing as possible.
