June 21 St Update
its been a while so I thought a update is in order.
Kendall had surgery this week and started the infusion process. Kendall handled it very well and is in good spirits. She is keeping busy with crafts and puzzles.
thank you for all of the donations, I can’t tell you how much it has eased the burden. ❤️
Saturday June 8th Update-
Good morning! This is the last time I’m sharing this. Kendall leaves Tuesday for 2 months. If you are not aware Kendall is my oldest grand daughter and was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy a few years ago. It has progressed and she uses a wheelchair to get around. She will be 12 in October. She qualified for this test to try and stop the progress of the disease. Anything helps Thank you!
Hi my name is Jodee and I’m raising funds for my granddaughter Kendall. She was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy years back and has been in an accepted into a medical trial of a treatment that could reverse some of the effects of the disease. Which could keep here from having to use her wheelchair except on bad days. Kendall will be 12 in October and has had ongoing muscle issues and other problems related to the disease. The potential to reverse even some effects is a god send for her. We are excited that she has the opportunity. However, this comes with hardship as she and her mom will have to go to Ohio children’s hospital for most of the summer. As most of you know Kendall’s dad, my son Matt is in the army and they recently relocated to Florida as his new duty station. Matt will remain home with Kendalls three siblings and continue to work when he can. They live on a military salary and will need to use daycare while Kendall’s mom and she are out of town. The hospital covers Kendalls expenses but nothing else. I’m hoping to raise enough money to cover daycare and daily expenses that are not in there budget. Anything helps. If you would like more information about the treatment please feel free to contact me. It has taken years just to be accepted into the test . So this is a miracle.
I didn’t post this earlier but we are on a time crunch. Kendall will be checking in on June 18 for the first biopsy
UPDATE
well the good news is Kendall passed all the auto immune tests now with no issue. The bad news is they moved it up a week to start so June 11 instead of the 18th and she has to stay closer to three months. So excited for her. Again anything helps, I know things are expensive these days so anything is so appreciated!
