On April 2nd, our youngest brother, Ismael (BB) was physically assaulted. He suffered a deep puncture wound that severely damaged his internal organs. We were told he wouldn't make it but thankfully he pulled through. He did, however have to undergo multiple surgeries at the hospital. BB also endured multiple lacerations to his face causing injuries to both of his eyes. The extent of his eye injuries are unknown at this point, and unfortunately he does not have medical insurance. Because of this he is unable to afford necessary medical costs which include follow up doctor appointments, important medications and expensive eye procedures that he will need to have. If anyone knows my beloved brother, they know him to be a kind, caring person that would give you the shirt off his back. He truly has a “heart of gold” like our mother. This tragedy has been extremely hard on our family and while we ask for privacy at this time, we appreciate all the prayers and well wishes we have received. Because BB has a long recovery road ahead and is unable to earn a living wage, we are asking for donations to help pay for his upcoming medical expenses as well as for essential needs.
