Hi everyone! I’m a Toronto-based operating room nurse currently exploring the opportunity to participate in a short-term surgical mission in Guatemala alongside a General Surgery team. The focus of this mission is to provide surgical care in a low-resource setting while collaborating with local healthcare providers.

Participation in this mission is voluntary and self-funded. Nurses use their own vacation time and are responsible for covering travel, accommodations and program-related costs. I’m hoping to offset a portion of these expenses through small contributions so that I can take part without undue financial strain.
