Where do I begin… first of all my Dad would rather die than ask for help.. so let’s keep this between us.
In March after realizing my mom wasn’t feeling good for weeks we made her go to the hospital. While there they found a mass in her stomach and after the biopsy we found out she has adenocarcinoma in her stomach. A very aggressive form of cancer.
Shorty after that she started experiencing other concerning symptoms. She was very unstable on her feet, having troubles with her vision, and slurring her words. After some more tests we found out she also had lymphoma in her brain. Another form of very aggressive cancer. She went from functioning fine to unable to walk unassisted in 2 weeks. I hate cancer. It has stolen so much from her.
After her first round of chemo for the brain cancer she had complications and that no longer was an option. She tried radiation on the brain. But has seen little improvement.
To say the last few months have been a roller coaster of emotions would be an understatement. My dad is carrying insurance for her through his work, so he has to work. My sisters and I are caregiving for her daily so he can work. And when he gets home he takes over the caregiving duties.
According to the last images taken her stomach cancer has now spread to her pancreas and liver. She has chose to do no further treatment. The doctors explained that even with treatment it won’t cure it and said we will probably have only 3-6 months left with my beautiful mom.
Now as my Dad prepares to say goodbye to the women he has loved for the past 45 years I would like to lessen the burden of the final expenses for him. Like I said at the beginning he would rather die than to ask for help. So my plan is to hold any money we raise for him until the time comes when he needs it.
Thank you in advance for any donations. And if you can’t donate prayers are always welcomed and very much appreciated. Pray for unexplainable peace for my mom.
