Fentaware is a group of community organizers and harm reduction activists, working to reduce accidental overdoses and drug-related deaths by increasing access to harm-reduction resources in social spaces. We distribute life-saving resources like fentanyl test strips to bars, clubs and social spaces, publicizing these locations so people know where they can find them.

Our Mission:

1. We organize to prevent accidental overdose and death caused by drug adulterants such as fentanyl within our communities.

2. Primarily, we distribute life-saving resources like fentanyl test strips to places related to nightlife and social spaces; where many overdoses occur.

3. By putting free test strips in the locations where people are using drugs, we aim to help people survive the night.

4. Rampant capitalism and individualism have left our communities without access to adequate healthcare. We recognize this failure and understand we must self-organize to fill these gaps. We keep us safe.

5. We aim to reduce the stigma around drug testing by partnering with cultural institutions and community leaders. Advocacy is central to our work.
