Posting on behalf of Daniel D. regarding fundraising for his Eagle project –
Hello everyone. I have been active in scouting since third grade. The final step in my scouting journey is earning the rank of Eagle Scout. One of the requirements is to plan a project that will benefit my community. I’ve decided that I wanted my Eagle Project to support the boys and girls at Calvary Children’s Home. Calvary Children’s Home provides a safe, loving, Christian home for children while providing them with stable home life. They strive to give the children entrusted to them the very best skill, education, and values so they may become responsible, productive members of society. Attending church, local schools, and participating in after school and community activities provide a sense of normalcy and give the children experience in the real world. While researching their website, I was drawn to the page about ways to help. When I clicked on the needs list, I got the idea to provide care packages for the boys and girls there. I also thought the boys and girls would love to have gift cards to their favorite restaurants, such as Subway, Chick-fil-A, and Dairy Queen.
The three main objectives of the project are:
1. Provide individual care packages for the boys and girls at Calvary Children’s Home (Cinch bag including lotion, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, ChapStick)
2. Provide supplies for Calvary’s supply closet (Advil, band -aids, sunscreen, soap, acne products)
3. Provide gift cards so the boys and girls can have opportunities to eat out
Thanks in advance for supporting my Eagle Project and helping me to make a difference in the lives of the boys and girls at Calvary Children’s Home.
