The recent removal of the Progress Pride Flag at the Stonewall National Monument happened without a single private cam focused on the flagpole and I want to raise funds to underwrite five (5) cams operating 24/7 and live-streaming all activities there.

That way, all future visits to Christopher Park, which comprises the heart of the monument, by any federal worker will be recorded on video that we control.

A goal of raising $5,000 for the five cams, funding each with $1,000 for equipment and streaming costs, is my aim. All cams will be stationed only on nearby private residences or small business. None will be located on federal land. That way the community always controls the streaming.

One cam will aim at the flagpole, and whatever flies on it, while other cams are to be aimed on the entrances and the center area.

Any unused funds will be transferred to Steven Love Menendez, the heroic volunteer caretaker of the flagpole and flags that flew on it, up to now, to be used on beautification projects.

Outreach to local apartment dwellers and bars is underway, mostly through the internet.

As the gay activist who in June 2017 began the successful battle, in the initial months of the first Trvmp Administration, that eventually led to the Department of the Interior granting my request to install a permanent flagpole, from which our Pride flags would be displayed in June 2022, I ask for your support.
