Fund Bob Mover's State of the Heart Project

Hi Friends!

My name is Bob Mover. I have been part of the World of Jazz since 1968.

I live in New York City and I am now 73 years old.

STATE OF THE HEART represents a lifelong ambition and dream of mine to PLAY & RECORD with an orchestral ensemble with strings. THANKS to brilliance of Mr. Isaac Raz and the enthusiasm & generosity of our executive producer, John Bennett, we have been able to come as far as we have.

We are fortunate that the TOP Jazz & Studio musicians in the world have enthusiastically committed themselves to this project!

NOW WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT IN ORDER TO REALIZE THIS WORK OF ART THAT WE STARTED.

In 2010 I was diagnosed with 4th stage emphysema & in 2021 I had a tracheostomy. ... As "high risk" I am no longer able to travel and tour. Fortunately, I still can play! .. This recording is evidence of that.

However, the reality of the situation necessitates that we complete this project NOW.

My COPD is "progressive & aggressive."

Normally, people record with the idea of doing tours & selling product.

To me this is more of a LEGACY project. ... "Art for Art's Sake"

My Most Recently Released Recordings:

Salerno with Walter Davis Jr. (Reel to Real Records)

Bob Mover Duets with Tony Castellano - One Soul (Soul Kid Jazz)

Isaac Raz, my arranger for this project, STATE OF THE HEART, helped me organize the material that became the Bob Mover Jazz Lexicon, now published by Sher Music Co. , which includes over 400 exercises.

For the last two years, my producer, Jessy Kaiser, and I created and have aired regularly a podcast, ON THE REAL SIDE in which I discuss life and music with many great Jazz musicians.

We have developed a following in just over a year of nearly 2K (thousand) subscribers at www.youtube.com/@bobmoverjazzability.
