<div>I live in New York City and I am now 73 years old.

<div><strong><em>STATE OF THE HEART</em></strong> represents a lifelong ambition and dream of mine to <em>PLAY &amp; RECORD</em>  with an orchestral ensemble with strings. <strong><em>THANKS</em></strong> to brilliance of <strong><em>Mr. Isaac Raz</em></strong> and the enthusiasm &amp; generosity of our <em>executive producer,</em><strong><em> John Bennett,</em></strong> we have been able to come as far as we have.

<div><strong><em>In 2010 I was diagnosed with 4th stage emphysema &amp; in 2021 I had a tracheostomy. </em>... </strong>As "high risk" I am no longer able to travel and tour. Fortunately, I still can play!  .. This recording is evidence of that.

<div>However, the reality of the situation necessitates that we complete this project <strong><em>NOW</em></strong>.

<div>My <strong><em>COPD</em></strong> is "progressive &amp; aggressive."

<div>Normally, people record with the idea of doing tours &amp; selling product.

<div>To me this is more of a <strong>LEGACY</strong> <strong>project</strong>.  ...  "Art for Art's Sake"

<div>For the last two years, my producer, Jessy Kaiser, and I created and have aired regularly a podcast, <strong><em>ON THE REAL SIDE</em></strong>  in which I discuss life and music with many great Jazz musicians.
