Fund Bleed Control Kits in Ilkeston
Donation protected
Hey, I'm Adam Thompson, Member of Parliament for Erewash. I will be walking the length of the constituency of Erewash, from The Harrington Arms in Sawley to The Mallard in Cotmanhay, to raise funds for more bleed control kits in Ilkeston.
Bleed control kits can save lives in the case of catastrophic bleeds, in cases such as stabbings and car accidents. They can be the difference between life and death, helping to control major bleeding in the critical minutes before an ambulance arrives.
The kits will include equipment such as tourniquets, haemostatic dressings, compression bandages, scissors and gloves. My goal is simple: to raise enough funds to provide as many kits as possible, placing them in pubs and other key locations across Ilkeston. This follows recent incidents that have highlighted just how important quick access to this equipment can be in saving lives.
