Hi. My name is Beck and I am the Founder/Director of S.I.S - STRENGTH IN STRUGGLES. This year we have completed our first tour of 'Silent Approach ' which is the true story of when I was sectioned under the Mental Health Act 18 years ago as a serving police officer after suffering a prescribed drug induced psychotic episode. The play is based on the book 'Police to Paranoia'

The 3 week tour round Manchester/Lancashire and London has been a huge success. There were post discussions at the end of each performance where Rebecca and a local MH organisation took part in a Q&A and discussion involving the audience.

This allowed the audience to be part of a safe space and they shared their own journeys with MH.

Due to its success we now want to expand the tour to other areas in order to raise awareness, educate and ultimately help break the stigma around mental health
