Fueling Officers on Inauguration Day

Help us feed between 3,000-5,000 officers during Inauguration 2025. For just $10 each meal, you can help us make a meaningful impact on this day. Together, we can fuel the frontline in blue on January 20, 2025.

My name is Ronie Nosner, and I am the wife of a DC police officer. This year, we will be celebrating 22 years of marriage. Yesterday, I shared a personal goal that I can't achieve without the support of our amazing community. For those of you who have already donated, I want to send a heartfelt thank you—your generosity means the world to us. And to those who have considered this mission, thank you as well. Again, I cannot accomplish this without your help.

To provide a bit more detail on this mission, I want to explain how it all started and where we're headed. In 2021, with the help of our community, we were able to feed over 500 officers on Inauguration Day. For 2025, we are aiming to feed between 3,000 and 5,000 officers—not just from the DC Metropolitan Police, but from other jurisdictions as well. While my heart is with DCMPD, we're pooling resources to ensure that all officers involved have the support they need. On Inauguration Day, officers work long shifts—at least 12 hours, and sometimes over 20 hours. With the current staffing shortages and the intensity of the day’s events, grabbing a meal on their own just isn’t feasible.

This year, we have a unique opportunity to distribute the meals at a central location in the district, where all jurisdictions' command posts will be located. Kevin and Jennifer Bednarz, owners of The Ashburn Pub, Purcellville Pub, and Purcellville Eats, have generously offered to donate 20% of the meal costs. For just $10 per meal, we can ensure that these dedicated men and women, who protect and serve our communities every day—especially on this monumental day—are well-fed and supported.
