My name is Sapphire Starr, and I am the founder of Wealth Builders Savannah—a mobile financial education initiative dedicated to bringing financial literacy, credit building, and real estate investing directly into underserved neighborhoods in Savannah, GA. Growing up here, I witnessed firsthand how economic inequity, lack of access, and financial illiteracy hold back hard-working families. Wealth Builders Savannah is about meeting people where they are—both literally and financially—so that everyone has a fair shot at building a better future.
We’re raising funds to launch our most ambitious project yet: The Money Bus. This mobile financial classroom will host budgeting, savings, and credit education workshops, offer real estate and entrepreneurship coaching, and partner with local nonprofits, schools, and housing agencies. Our goal is to serve women and underserved communities, reaching over 1,000 households in the first year. The funds raised will cover the purchase and renovation of the bus, its conversion into a classroom, a custom wrap design, tech equipment like Wi-Fi and laptops, and toolkits and materials for participants.
Why does this matter? Over 20% of Savannah residents live below the poverty line, and nearly half of Black households in the area have zero net worth. Women are underrepresented in wealth-building industries. We’ve already helped more than 200 women through free events and partnerships, but the need is urgent and growing. Every day, I meet people who are doing everything right—working multiple jobs, caring for families, and striving for a better future—but they’re still falling behind because no one ever taught them how money really works. Financial literacy is no longer a luxury; it’s survival. The Money Bus will bring resources directly to neighborhoods in need. This isn’t just about teaching budgeting—it’s about creating generational change, one family at a time.
But I can’t do it alone. Your support makes this dream possible. Whether you give $5 or $5,000, you’re helping fund a mobile classroom that will serve women, youth, and underserved families—people who are ready to rise, if only given the tools.
This isn’t charity—it’s community-powered economic development. When you give, you’re not just donating to a cause—you’re investing in a movement.
Let’s turn this bus into a rolling classroom of hope, freedom, and financial power. Together, we can drive financial freedom through our city—one street, one workshop, one wealth builder at a time.
From the bottom of my heart—thank you for helping us drive the dream forward.
