As-Salamu-Alaykum everyone,
For the past few years, I’ve been volunteering with the Inara Project, and honestly, it has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life.
What started as a small community effort in Dorset has grown into something really special. Through sports sessions, cooking classes, sewing workshops, care packages and leadership opportunities, we’ve supported women from all walks of life - creating safe spaces where they feel included, confident and valued.
And it’s not just the women who attend that grow - our volunteers grow too.
Over 50 women have volunteered with Inara as we’ve organically expanded. With your help, we’ve been able to deliver real services that make a real difference.
I’ve seen the impact up close. Inara helped me build confidence and leadership skills that supported my own career journey from Accounting into the NHS. That investment in me paid off - just like the investment poured into every project we’ve delivered.
The feedback speaks for itself:
✨ Pilates 2026 – 100% of attendees want to continue because they feel included.
✨ Running 2026 – 100% made intentions to keep running after our sessions.
✨ Netball 2025 – 100% reported increased confidence and better energy levels.
✨ Care Packages – “It made such a difference at such a difficult time.”
Every donation, every hour volunteered, every bit of belief - it has all mattered.
Now, for the first time ever, we are expanding into the West Midlands with the launch of the S.H.E Initiative (Supporting Her into Employment).
This is a big step for us. A new region. A new chapter. More women to support.
As part of my fundraising challenge, I have given up fizzy drinks for the month of fasting. If you know me, you know I live, breath and love Cola, but this is my way of committing to the growth of an amazing challenge and building discipline myself.
If you choose to donate, please know you are not just giving money - you are investing in opportunity, and community.
We are aiming to raise £5,000 to launch this next chapter. If you’re able to give, even a small amount makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, please keep us in your du’as. ✨
