Help Ugo Launch Harlem’s First Healthy Vending Machine for Kids by kids
Hi, I’m Ugo and I am 12 years old. I’m starting my first business with a mission: to bring healthy, affordable snacks and drinks to kids and families in Harlem through a community-focused vending machine.
This isn’t just about selling snacks. It’s about creating access to better choices in neighborhoods where healthy options are often hard to find. I’ve lived this reality and I’ve also experienced the kindness of places like Ronald McDonald House, where I received care and support during tough times. Now I want to give back, starting with something small but powerful.
I plan to install a vending machine in a public space in Harlem like near a school, community center, or park where kids and families can easily access it. The machine will be stocked with:
Nutritious snacks like granola bars, dried fruit, and veggie chips
Hydrating drinks like water, natural juices, and low-sugar options
Affordable prices so no one is left out
As the business grows, I’ll upgrade the machine and expand to offer even better products maybe even locally sourced or organic items.
Every dollar you give will go directly toward:
Purchasing the vending machine
Stocking it with healthy inventory
Covering setup and maintenance costs
Marketing and signage to raise awareness
Saving a portion for college and future impact work
I’ll also donate a percentage of profits to Ronald McDonald House Charities, as a way to give back to the place that helped me when I needed it most.
My mom works for UNICEF, helping underserved children around the world. She’s my biggest inspiration and I want to follow in her footsteps by starting right here in my own community. This vending machine is more than a business. It’s a symbol of hope, health, and hustle.
If you believe in youth-led change, in healthier communities, and in giving kids better choices please consider supporting my campaign. Every contribution brings me closer to making this dream real.
Thank you for believing in me.
Ugo
