My name is Ebrima, and I live in The Gambia, West Africa. I’m 24 years old and the eldest of six siblings. After we lost both of our parents, I took on the responsibility of caring for my younger brothers and sisters.
Life has been incredibly difficult, but I’m doing everything I can to keep us safe, fed, and housed. We currently live in a small rented home, and each day is a struggle to cover rent, food, and basic needs. My greatest wish is to return my siblings to school, so they can receive the education they deserve and build a future beyond survival.
I am asking for help to pursue my dream of becoming a taxi driver. With your support, I can purchase a used vehicle and begin working immediately. This would allow me to provide consistent income for my family, cover our living expenses, and send my siblings back to school.
We’re not looking for long term charity — I am ready to work. I just need the means to begin. Your donation will directly help us:
• Purchase a reliable used car for a taxi
• Pay a few months of rent in advance
• Buy food and school supplies for my siblings
Every bit of help brings us closer to standing on our own feet. Even sharing this page means the world to us.
Thank you for reading our story and for any kindness you’re able to offer.
With gratitude,
— Ebrima

My name is Eli, and I’m organizing this campaign on Ebrima’s behalf. I met him through BlueSky. Ebrima shared his story with me, and I’ve verified his situation to the best of my ability using video call. All funds will go directly toward helping him and his siblings build a more secure future.
