Hello family and friends!

I am not sure if you all are aware of the situation/story of Lucy’s son and my stepson Miguel.

Miguel is 11 years old. He is quadriplegic, and has severe heart and health issues since his birth. He cannot walk. He cannot talk. But he has touched everyone in his journey on this planet in a way that one could never truly comprehend. Throughout his 11 years on planet earth he has made thousands of people smile, laugh, and consistently teaches us a sense of humility through his joy, despite all of his challenges.

We recently discovered (just a few days ago) that Miguel has an extremely rare genetic disease called Pelizaeus Merzbacher disease that has been deemed a terminal condition, which is devastating to both Lucy and I.

He is and has been such a happy guy during his time as a kid with extremely fragile health. We love Miguel with all of our hearts, but his health has recently taken a turn for the worse.

He is currently in Boston Children’s Hospital, and the staff has been truly amazing. Unfortunately, after over 6 surgeries and procedures within the past two weeks the doctor diagnosed his physical health in the atrophy stage, and gave him just a few days to short weeks to live. My wife and I are heartbroken.

Any donations provided could be helpful with Miguel’s services, and in his memory, and also to help Lucy and I out with the immense burden of losing our son. Thank you in advance, and we sincerely appreciate you all!
