Half Marathon for Cancer Research

We’ve all seen the effects of cancer. Whether through someone we love, someone we know, or even through our own experiences. It’s a fight no one chooses, and one that too many people face every day.
In memory of Roger Heydon, my grandad, who sadly passed from cancer on August 30th this year. I will be training over the next 6 weeks until The race day (October 5th) , fundraising for Cancer Research UK to help those who need it most now and in the future. To do this, I’m taking on a personal challenge: after a long break from running, I’ve been building my fitness back up, and I’ll be running 21km (Basingstoke half marathon) at around a 6min/km pace. Just last week (23rd August), I managed 8km at that pace which is the furthest I've run for over a year, so this will hopefully be a good challenge.
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. Together, we can support life-saving research and bring
hope to those fighting cancer.
Thank you so much for your support, if you cannot donate please share.
