Justice for Shawn & Carter: Fighting Corruption, Reclaiming Freedom

They illegally took my son, my home, my reputation, and my peace—but they couldn't take my voice.

​My name is Shawn Dudley. For the past three years, I have been fighting a battle that would have broken most people. I have faced systemic corruption, unlawful detainment, and a targeted campaign to dismantle my life and family.

​Despite having my home destroyed by law enforcement for fighting to keep my son, Carter, safe; being frivolously arrested; and being involuntarily institutionalized to silence me, I am still standing. I am currently living in a tent in freezing temperatures to survive while dodging daily attacks, but I refuse to quit.

​The Fight for My Son

The child abuse I fought for years to protect my son from has finally been substantiated by Vermont DCF. Yet, instead of returning him to me, they are fighting to put my 7-year-old in juvenile detention claiming a "lack of foster parents."

​There is no valid reason for not granting my Motion for Full Custody.

​It is documented that DCF failed to uphold their mandate of acting in a child's best interest (BIC).

​DCF enabled state-created danger and abuse that could have been avoided had they not failed to act so many times.

​My son was forced to endure documented deadly situations in his mother's care—abuse that the Family Court waited 8 months to hear, only acknowledging the truth after I met the burden of proof.

​The Corruption

The Family Court only heard my Motion to Modify Parental Rights after local police fabricated a reason to raid my home because I didn't bring my child to school one day. This wasn't "practicing in the gray area"—this was corruption.

​Now that DCF’s negligence has been exposed, they are doubling down on their smear campaign against me. But I am fighting back. I am currently litigating a massive multi-million dollar civil rights lawsuit against the City of Burlington for defamation, and this is just the beginning.

​Why I am Fundraising

I am representing myself Pro Se in Family, Civil, and Criminal Court because I refused to let the system bury the truth. Recently, I have made massive strides in exposing the corruption and fighting for my Constitutional Rights, but I cannot do it on alone.

​Your donation will go directly toward:

​Legal Resources: Representation, Printing costs, filing fees, and evidence gathering and preservation to win my lawsuits against the State and City. Once I prove the corruption in Civil and U.S. District Court, the Federal Government will have the evidence needed to draft criminal complaints against state and local officials.

​Immediate Survival: My enemies have used taxpayer dollars to launch a smear campaign against me to halt my exposure of their crimes. I am currently homeless due to these attacks. My "Command Center" is a tent. I need funds for a safe workspace to keep the evidence secure.

​Safety & Technology: I am physically attacked often, have had property stolen, and have been framed to allow police to seize my phone and upload spyware. One wrong move could delay justice for my son by years. I need secure tech and a secure location.

​The Future: Project Haven

My ultimate goal isn't just to win these lawsuits, but to build. Once I clear my name, I am launching "Project Haven"—a sanctuary initiative focused on sustainable Earthship living and healing for those who have been targeted, failed by the system, and survivors of human trafficking.
