My name is Thomas de Leon. I work 34 yrs. for Lufthansa Airline as Steward worldwide. I have seen many cultures and experienced a lot and I also helped people and families to overcome poverty.

The other day 2025 I visited India and was a few days in Chennai, former Madras.

Outside of the hotel just nearby on a walk I recognized a young girl Syashnupria 8yrs. sitting on a food stand all by herself on a Sunday.

Later I saw her mother and contacted her and we spoke about her daughter, family and daily topics. I figured out that they manage a hard financial living with around 100€ a month, 40€ for the rent and the last 60€ for 30 days daily living, which means 2€ a day, no health assurance no backups ... which is definetly hard.

It has to be pointed out that therfor that this family didnt follow an arranged marriage, they have no support by family members.

We met 6 month later again, I brought a scooter for Syashnupria and a suitcase full of things and spend 2 days with them.

So what is the next step I asked Sangeetha 30yrs., the mother?

She really is the CEO of the family and ambitious and eager to change the situation for her kids and husband and would like to open a Fruit&Vegetable Shop to overcome poverty and creating more wealth and a little more comfort living.

She explained me the circumstances and costs it will take to open a tiny shop nearby her house, not spectecular, but with the option to get off the street and the power of the local police f.ex. with more options to generate more income and build up future education for the kids.

At the time being she hardly can buy two or three items for the stand, which is tomatoes, some flower buds for hinduism rituals.

So I decided to support her in this matter and here we are ...

I want to collect at least 800€ to 1.500€ as a base to create the Fruit&vegetable Shop and to mangage the first 3 month after opening until customers come regularly, processes are running better.

This fund generates that rent is paid, fruits&vegetbles can be bought in advance, the family conditions might change day by day ... its just a start, it has to devellop, it is not a solution, it will be a work in progress.
