We have been told constantly about the serious shortage of PPE during the Covid-19 outbreak so we decided to try to produce a faceshield that could help protect our frontline heroes in these difficult times. After a lot of research and trial and error we developed a shield that can be produced in large numbers relatively quickly. However, it has been extremely difficult to source the required materials and expertise. We have currently produced 150 shields approximately but many more will be required. Any funds raisedwill go directly to the purchase of materials. The finished faceshields will be distributed free of charge to those who require them.

Who we are?
My name is Michael McMenamin. I am from Ballybofey, Co. Donegal, Ireland. I am the main organiser of this Frontline Faceshields GoFundMe page.
Since the shortage of PPE emerged I have partered with Sign Worx in Convoy, Co. Donegal - to produce frontline faceshields and distribute them free of charge to medical professionals across Donegal. My relationship to those involved is a purely voluntary one and all funds raised go directly to faceshield production.
Funds raised here will be spent ordering materials from Germany and further afield for the production of faceshields. These materials are in short supply at the moment as the global demand for PPE has increased.
Once funds are withdrawn they will be used to order materials that we require to continue with the production of the faceshields.
