Hi, my name is Fatéma Niazy from Egypt, currently based in Toronto. I am fundraising for Nesreen Al Afandy to rescue her from unescapable death in Gaza.

In the war-torn lands of Khan Younis in Gaza, Nesreen Al Affandy's life has been a series of heart-wrenching losses. Her father fell victim to the relentless strikes of Israeli warplanes, and her mother faced the cruel fate of losing a limb. Forced to live in the ruins of her demolished home, Nesreen now resides in a fragile tent in Mawassi, deprived of even the most basic necessities of life.

But amidst the despair, a glimmer of hope remains - her beloved son, whom she has only seen once in the past five years after being taken away by his father to Egypt then Turkey. With your support, we can make the impossible possible and reunite this shattered family. Join us in this mission of compassion and solidarity, as we strive to bring Nesreen and her son back together in a warm embrace of love and relief. Together, we can rewrite Nesreen's story from one of tragedy to a tale of resilience, reunion, and renewed hope.

We want to fundraise to evacuate her from Egypt initially. Once she is able to cross, we would like to fundraise for her basic living expenses and create another fundraiser to evacuate her second husband to join her and support her.

"Hello,

I am Nesreen Al Affandy from Gaza Strip.

I was married and God blessed me with a child named Ibrahim. I separated from his father, and then my son's family traveled to Egypt, where they stayed for two years before moving to Turkey and settling there. Now he is far away from my sight, approximately 5 years I miss him so much.

Now the horrors of war, or rather death, spare neither stone nor tree. My father was martyred in front of our house due to the bombing of our neighborhood. Two months later, the neighborhood was bombed again, our house was destroyed, and my mother's foot was amputated. The rest of my family sustained various injuries.

Death surrounds us from all sides, which is why I appeal to you to support me and help me leave Gaza and travel to Egypt in order to reunite with my son there, and also for the psychological and emotional harm that I have suffered due to the war."
