Standing With John

Our family is walking through a season we never expected. While on duty as a firefighter and paramedic, our dad/our mother's husband and best friend sustained a serious head injury and is now continuing care in the hospital as he works toward healing. He has been in the hospital since the 9th of December. He had been in neuro icu and medical icu. He had recently been stopped down to the neurology unit.

At his heart, our dad/our mother husband and best friend is the one who runs toward the hard moments. Through his service to his community and surrounding areas, he has spent over 30 years of his life protecting others, showing up without hesitation, and placing the needs of others before his own. It isn’t just what he does — it’s who he is.

As he focuses on recovery, our family is navigating this season together. In the midst of this emergent time. We suffered another emergency, our family dog also required emergency surgery due to serious gastrointestinal issues, adding another unexpected layer to an already emotional time. We are leaning on faith, love, and the support of those around us as we take things one day at a time.

We ask first and foremost for prayers — for healing, peace, and strength for our entire family. If you feel led to give, your support helps us stay present and united during this time.
