From the DR mission to the US new life.

Hi, I am Richard Raposa. I have been serving God on the mission field in the Dominican Republic for the last 30 years. At this time I am leaving the mission field and returning to the United States to start a new beginning. As many of you know, Mission life is not profitable and so I am basically starting over. Wow the US has changed in 30 years. I am doing well with the culture shock of reentry but this will take time. I will be needing a vehicle, reestablish my driver's liscense, a place to rent, insurance, household goods and all the things neccesary to start over. I came to Goshen, Indiana April 1 (no foolin) with one suitcase.

Currently I am job hunting and staying with the Hochstedlers. Rose is in New York with family but as soon as I am established we will be finding a home together. Rosie got married in March and is living in Pennsylvania and Richie, after graduating from Goshen College, has been living and working in Virginia.

I have set up this fund with the Hochstedler's help to see if any of you might be able to help with this re-establishment. I value all of you and the many years of friendship and support. God has cared for me for those 30 years on the mission field and I know He will provide now also.
