Hi, my name is Angel. I’m a domestic violence survivor, a mother, a fighter, and now — a single mom of five beautiful children.

For years, I suffered in silence while enduring mental, emotional, and physical abuse at the hands of my husband. It nearly destroyed me. But I found the strength to walk away and protect my children. My husband is now incarcerated, and I’ve been doing everything I can to rebuild our lives from the ground up.

In the midst of all of this, we were in the process of gaining custody of two of his sons. One of them was dropped off by his biological mother on Memorial Day — and she never came back. She has since moved away, leaving no contact, no support, and no help. I couldn’t turn my back on him. He’s a child who deserves love, safety, and consistency — just like the others.

So here I am, a single mom raising five children on my own. I work hard every day to keep a roof over our heads, food on the table, and smiles on their faces. But the truth is — I’m struggling. With no child support, no co-parenting help, and no financial relief, I’m doing it all on my own. And it’s hard.

I even wrote a memoir about my experience surviving domestic violence, turning my pain into purpose. My goal is to help others who feel stuck, unseen, or unheard. But right now, I need help too.
