From Shelter to Home: Your Support Counts

As it’s true that there is greater joy in giving than in receiving, I often reach out to my friends and family to join me in supporting those facing difficult times.

Right now, one of my childhood friends is experiencing significant challenges and could really use our help. She needs to secure a place to live, but doesn’t have the resources for the security deposit and first month’s rent. Although she has just started what appears to be a promising job, she is currently staying in a shelter under precarious conditions. Moving closer to her new workplace would provide her with stability so she can begin rebuilding her life.
