Hi, my name is Brandi and I’m trying to raise money to pay for the deposit and rent along with initial groceries and toiletries. My husband had a stroke 5 years ago and lost 2/3 of his income, but we managed to survive for a little while. Then COVID hit, I got hurt at work, had knee surgery, was out for 6 months, and things started to fall behind. Upon my return to work, my hours got cut to part-time. To make a long story short, we lost our house and are in a shelter. Senior housing is opening up and we are praying. We lost a lot of our belongings but learned to get by with the bare minimum.
