Help a Brave Soldier Rebuild After Domestic Violence & Financial Abuse

This fundraiser is for a strong and resilient woman who has given her all to serving our country in the U.S. Army. She has endured heartbreaking challenges, including domestic violence, emotional and financial abuse, and now a devastating betrayal that has left her struggling to make ends meet.

After bravely leaving an abusive marriage, her ex-husband continued to find ways to hurt her. Without her knowledge, he deposited an insurance check that was meant to cover her mortgage & escrow shortages. Despite her making a legal demand, he refused to give the funds back, leaving her with mounting financial stress during an already difficult time.

This woman has survived physical, emotional, and financial abuse. While her ex is now being separated from the Army with an Other Than Honorable discharge, he continues to retaliate against her in any way he can. She is left to pick up the pieces while he walks away from the harm he has caused.

On top of all this, she recently suffered a second major knee injury. This injury ended her dream of commissioning as an officer, just one week before it was set to happen, and has now forced her into a medical retirement from the Army. What should have been a proud milestone has instead become a heartbreaking setback.

Despite everything, she continues to stand strong for herself and for others. But right now, she needs our help. The settlement money was supposed to cover her mortgage and keep her afloat during this transition, and without it she is at risk of losing stability for herself and her future.
