From Ruin to Recovery

My name is Tatania and I’m reaching out for help to support my large family in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, one of the hardest-hit parishes after the devastating Hurricane Melissa.
Although I was born in England I have been raised with a strong cultural background and have visited my family in St Elizabeth on many occasions, stayed in the many houses that have been destroyed and in close contact with our relatives who are sharing exactly what is needed to help them survive as best as possible given the circumstances.
The storm has left many of them without secure shelter, electricity, food, clean water, telephone signal and basic necessities. Roofs were torn off, homes flooded, and belongings destroyed in a matter of hours. My family — including elderly relatives and young children — are doing their best to stay safe and rebuild, but the situation is incredibly difficult, and resources are limited.
I’m doing everything I can from afar to send supplies and financial support, but the needs are overwhelming. Your donations will go directly toward:
• Emergency food, clean water, and hygiene supplies
• Roof repairs and basic home rebuilding materials
• Medical essentials and support for vulnerable family members
• Transportation and communication costs to access relief
Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a real difference in helping my family get back on their feet and begin the long road to recovery.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word. Together, we can bring hope and stability back to a family and community that means so much.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support.
