From Rubble to Recovery: Help Oshin and Her Children Rebuild ❤️
A single mother from Jamaica lost her home and livelihood in Hurricane Melissa. Help her rebuild for her children.
Hello, my name is Oshin Dunkley from Slipe, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica.
Hurricane Melissa devastated my home and community near Black River, leaving my three children and me homeless.
We lost everything — our house, clothes, belongings, and source of income. By the grace of God, we still have life.
Right now, we depend on the kindness of others for our daily meals, water, and temporary shelter.
Despite these challenges, I’ve begun taking small steps to rebuild. So far, I have gathered 200 blocks, a load of sand, and a load of gravel. But I urgently need help to purchase more blocks, steel, cement, gravel, sand, water, and pay the workmen to build our home.
Your support — no matter how small — will go directly toward rebuilding our family’s home and giving my children a safe place to sleep again.
An angel that God made me meet in a store in Black River 2 years ago was kind enough to set up this campaign for my children and me. She will ensure that all your donations go to helping us. Every dollar will make a difference. I sincerely thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart. My children thank you. Your basket will never be empty.
-- with gratitude, Oshin Dunkley
